A local canine controversy could soon come to an end.
A woman who claims to be the new owner of Annie the dog tells KSBY News Annie will be returned.
Chuck Hoage, who lives in rural Arroyo Grande, has been trying to get the dog back for weeks.
Annie was spooked by a gunshot and wound up at a local animal shelter.
She was then adopted out without Hoage's knowledge.
Her new family has refused to return her, saying they did nothing wrong.
The public has also rallied behind Hoage.
We spoke with him over the phone Saturday and he could not confirm any possible solution.
