A new partnership is helping local veterans take to the waves.
The San Luis Obispo County Veterans Services Office is teaming up with AmpSurf to offer weekly surf lessons.
The lessons take place at the Addie Street Beach access in Pismo Beach from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. every Thursday morning.
Veterans who already surf are invited to paddle out, and those who want to learn will be sized for a wet suit and surfboard so they can participate the following week.
For more information, call the County Veterans Service Office at (805) 781-5766 or click here.
