A new skate park is opening in Grover Beach on Friday, and the community can enjoy it free of charge for the next few days.
Skaters as young as 5-years-old can enjoy the new YMCA South County Skate Park.
It is open Fridays from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.; Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., and 2:30 p.m. to 6 p.m.; and Sundays from noon to 3 p.m., and 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.
The YMCA says the purpose of the skate park is to provide a healthy, fun, and safe environment for the community.
The skate park will be open for free on March 1, 2, and 3.
After that, prices will be $4 per session for YMCA members and $5 for non-YMCA members.
