New store opens in Santa Maria

People in Santa Maria celebrated the opening of a new BevMo! on Friday.
The specialty beverage retailer provided a wide variety of perks to those who made it out to the grand opening.
Throughout the day, shoppers were treated to wine and beer tastings and cocktail demonstrations.
The first 500 people in line before the store opened this morning received a free goody bag full of BevMo! products.
"The great thing about coming into Santa Maria is, we took up a vacant space in between Trader Joe's and Costco. We were able to hire 30 people and bring jobs and tax revenue to the community," said Jill Doe, district manager.
The new BevMo! is located on South Bradley Road, right next to Trader Joe's.
The grand opening festivities will continue through the weekend.
