New violence in eastern Ukraine

MARIUPOL, Ukraine (AP) - Fighting has broken out between government forces and rebels in an eastern Ukrainian city.

Ukraine's interior minister says a police officer and 20 people described as "terrorists" were killed in fighting that erupted when 60 gunmen tried to capture the police station in the city. They were stopped by police and the military.

The police station in the city of nearly 500,000 people was set on fire.
