Walmart announced Wednesday that it is opening two new Walmart Neighborhood Market stores to Santa Maria customers. The stores are expected to bring fresh and affordable groceries and provide about 65 permanent jobs at each store. The stores will be located at: 500 South Blosser Road, at the northeast corner of Blosser Road and Bone Street; and 2240 South Bradley Road in the Crossroads Shopping Center.
Both stores will include energy-effIcient technology and environmentally friendly features to help reduce energy use water consumption and minimize waste.
Walmart and the Walmart Foundation have supported local organizations that include the Foodbank of Santa Barbara County's Picnic in the Park and Empty Bowls, the Santa Maria Police Department, the Santa Maria Chamber of Commerce and the Santa Maria Boys & Girls Club.
