Another rain system similar to Tuesday's will arrive at the Central Coast Thursday, and the timing has speed up a bit from prior forecasts.
Some showers are possible in the morning, but rain becomes likely in the afternoon and extended into Friday morning before tapering to widely scattered light showers Friday afternoon.
The notable differences between the upcoming system and the one that just departed is that, the upcoming system will feature higher winds. Thursday night the winds out of the south could be as strong as 30mph. The Thursday night and Friday system is also more unstable and thunderstorms with small hail are possible.
In terms of the rainfall projection: .50-1.0" of rain is in my forecast.
Rain tapers off Friday and the weekend looks looks dry but breezy. Temperatures will be below normal until we get to Sunday and early next week when warming is expected.
