Nipomo is moving forward with plans to build a pipeline to connect the community's water system to the city of Santa Maria.
The Community Services District Board voted this morning to approve $16 million in contracts to build the pipeline.
The project will connect the District's water system to the city of Santa Maria to deliver water to customers on the Nipomo Mesa.
It's expected to take 18 months to complete.
