This weekend the Nipomo High School drama class is putting on the show "Almost Maine."

KSBY News was there as the student actors were getting ready for opening night on Thursday.

"Almost Maine" is a sit-com type comedy that aims at attracting crowds of all ages.

Drama teacher and artistic director, Cynthia Anthony, told KSBY it's "A story of vignettes; all love stories or love lost stories; all set on the same night in a fictional town in the state of Maine."

Student actress Katheryn Russell said, "It's a funny show, it's got a lot of jokes, it's got amazing lighting, amazing actors and actresses."

If you want to see the show it's playing Friday and Saturday evenings at 7:30 p.m.

Tickets may be purchased from any Nipomo High School drama student or at the door.

Student and senior tickets are $8, general tickets are $10.
