San Luis Obispo County Sheriff's deputies say they've arrested a Nipomo man in connection with at least ten thefts over the last several weeks. Sean Michael Toops, 19, was arrested last week in the 600 block of Pomeroy in Nipomo.

Deputies found Toops after spotting what they believed to be a stolen golf cart from Nipomo High School. Thieves had repainted the cart, but the original paint was still visible. Further investigation led to Toop's arrest.

When officers found him, they also recovered an $8,000 professional bicycle, stolen liquor, a purse and marijuana.

Toops is being held in San Luis Obispo County Jail on $60,000 bail for three counts of receiving stolen property and one count of marijuana possession.
