Nipomo, Santa Ynez and Cabrillo boys battle for LPL title Thursday

The Los Padres League boys soccer title will be determined Thursday evening. It could go to one, two or possibly even three teams that enter the day tied for first place.

Santa Ynez, Cabrillo and Nipomo are 9-2 in LPL play entering their league finales. Cabrillo plays at Nipomo High at 6pm, while Santa Ynez travels to Templeton for a 5:30 pm match.

Nipomo has never won a league title, but has won six league contests in a row. The Titans beat Mission Prep 8-0 in a non-league game Wednesday night. Buddy Kichler scored 2 goals and dished out 2 assists. Caleb Doane added 2 scores and one assist in the win.
