Cal Fire says crews contained a structure fire in the 500 block of Stanton Road in Nipomo at about 10:40 a.m. Monday.

Investigators say the fire caused $200,000 in damage, but that $500,000 in damage was prevented.

They say the majority of damage was to the back bedroom and attic of the 2,200 square foot structure.

KSBY has a crew on the scene and will bring you more tonight at 5 and 6 p.m.
