It is National Childhood Cancer Awareness Day and a local teen cancer survivor is getting in on efforts to give a voice to children with cancer.
Nipomo Resident Melinda Marchiano was asked to host a documentary called "The Truth 365."
The goal is to educate millions of people through social networking sites about the need to fund pediatric cancer research.
A short video will be released tonight at 6 p.m. and everyday at the same time leading up to September 23 when the full documentary will be released, which is hosted by Marchiano fought cancer at young age and went on to publish an award-winning book about her experience.
