In recent weeks, more than $12,000 have been awarded to a local, non profit dental clinic that serves children in need.

La Clinica de Tolosa has received $10,000 from the Paso Robles Wine Country Alliance and another $2,500 from Rabobank.

The funding will be used to help cover the costs that the Paso Robles clinic uses to proved a full range of dental care to under-served children in San Luis Obispo County.

"It fills the gap of expenses that we're not able cover with our fee for service reimbursements through insurance companies or through our patient base," said Clinic Director Suzanne Russell.

La Clinica de Tolosa serves 40-50 children daily.

It is a branch of the Partnership for the Children of San Luis Obispo County.
