The North County Indians won their fourth in a row with a 9-3 win over the Bakersfield Sound in Templeton on Tuesday night.
The Indians evened their record at 5-5. They trailed 1-0 after the top of the first, but took the lead for good with two runs in the bottom half. Paso Robles High graduate and Cuesta star Mac Stuart drove in Sinjin Todd, a recent San Luis Obispo High graduate, with a basehit to left. Atascadero High graduate Bryce Cherry stroked a single through the right side to score Templeton High grad Michael Frigon to cap the first inning scoring.
The Indians added 2 more in the third, 3 in the fourth and two more in the seventh.
The Indians, who are made up entirely of players local high school graduates and future Cal Poly Mustangs, recorded 13 hits in the win. The Sound tallied 9 hits in the loss.
North County, which went 24-7 last year with the assistance of future Mustangs Brian Mundell and Casey Bloomquist, continue their homestand Friday night with a game at 6 pm against the Santa Maria Wahoos.
