The California Highway Patrol is on scene near the Santa Maria Bridge on the northbound side of Highway 101.

The CHP says both lanes are closed and will remain closed for the next hour while crews clean up after a big rig jackknifed blocking both lanes.

The truck driver said the crash occurred when a car cut in front of him causing the big rig driver to slam on his brakes. He said he was traveling too fast for that kind of braking which cause his trailer to fishtail and block the bridge.

No other cars were involved in the crash and no injuries were reported.

At this time officers are redirecting traffic to Highway 166 and Highway 1 or to Bonita School Road.
