Nursing students practice in new lab

Nursing students at Cuesta College are getting hands on experience in a state-of-the-art lab. The new nursing simulation lab helps students get experience in long-term and acute care, and even taking care of infants. The goal is to get these licensed nurses into the community. The new lab has manikins, a hospital bed, and equipment for students to practice on. It was finished at the beginning of the semester. The Licensed Vocational Nurses (LVN) program at Cuesta is an accelerated program that nursing students go through in about 12 months.
