NWS issues San Joaquin Valley freeze warning

FRESNO, Calif. (AP) - Cold, dry air moving into the heart of California's biggest farming region has prompted forecasters to issue a freeze warning for the area.
With temperatures expected to get as low as 25 degrees in some areas, the National Weather Service says the warning for central and southern San Joaquin Valley will be in effect from 10 p.m. Monday until 9 a.m. Tuesday.
Forecasters are also warning drivers that the blast of cold air could also make for slick driving, with patches of frost or so-called "black ice" on roadways, especially on bridges and overpasses.
After warming up during the day Tuesday, temperatures are expected to drop below freezing again on Tuesday night.
