WASHINGTON (AP) - Mitt Romney's campaign says it's clear that President Barack Obama just wants to talk about Romney's taxes, rather than "the issues that matter to voters."
It's responding to the latest volley from the Democrats over Romney's taxes. The Obama campaign is offering to stop pushing for further releases of Romney's tax returns, if the Republican will release five years of those returns.
Romney has released only his 2010 return, and is pledging to release the one from 2011.
Obama's campaign has questioned whether there are years when Romney paid no taxes. Romney said Thursday he has paid at least 13 percent of his income in federal taxes every year for the past decade.
