Obstructive sleep apnea could be linked to Type 2 diabetes.
Doctors at the University of Toronto in Canada followed 8500 people for about five and a half years.
People with mild or moderate sleep apnea had a 23 percent increased risk for developing diabetes.
Researchers say this study helps confirm smaller studies that found the same link.
