An Oceano woman is getting some help that will make her home more energy efficient. Mary Nichols is eligible to receive a grant through the Community Action Partnership of San Luis Obispo County.
It's a weatherization assistance program. So far, she's gotten a new refrigerator. She believes she will also be getting new windows and a new heater. On Tuesday, Representative Lois Capps, (D) 23rd District, toured her home. Nichols said, "They're all nice, they're all professional. My biggest excitement was with Lois Capps which I thought was wonderful."
To date, San Luis Obispo County has received more than $563,000 in funding from the American Recovery and Reinvestment act to help create energy efficiency related jobs.
