KSBY is learning more information about the structure fire that took place Saturday morning in the Stenner Glen Student Housing Complex.

Officials say nearly 40 people were evacuated from the involved building and an adjacent building after a fire started in an apartment. None of the residents were home at the time.

Two of the six bedrooms and the common area in that apartment were spared from significant fire damage. The next-door apartment was also protected.

The property loss is estimated at over $150,000 and loss of personal belongings is estimated at over $25,000.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.

Officials say a working fire alarm alerted a neighbor that there was a fire in the apartment.

No residents were injured.
