An oil exploration company is suing San Luis Obispo County for more than $6 billion over a denied drilling project in the Huasna Valley.

The county denied the project earlier this year over environmental and noise concerns.

Excelaron says that made its mineral rights worthless.

A lawsuit filed Monday says the county's actions amount to illegal taking of property without compensation.

The county says it hasn't been legally served yet.
