Area athletes have a chance to learn from an American Olympic Gold medalist.
2008 Beijing Gold medalist Stephanie Brown-Trafton will return to her alma mater later this month told a clinic on how to throw a discus and shot put. The throwing clinic will take place on February 20 at Arroyo Grande High School and benefit the Arroyo Grande High Track and Field program.
Trafton won Gold in Beijing in the women's discus throw and followed that up with a US Outdoor National title in 2009.
The clinic will include a full day of hands-on instruction on the fundamentals of shot put and discus and meet preparation. It will run from 9 am to 4 pm with registration beginning at 8 am.
