One dead after head-on collision

The California Highway Patrol says a 40 year old Arroyo Grande woman died yesterday, in a head-on collision with a semi-truck.
It happened on State Route 166 and Wasioja Rd. near Cuyama around 9:30 p.m. Friday.
CHP says the driver of the semi, 35 year-old Jagjit Singh of Fresno noticed the woman's vehicle heading Westbound in the Eastbound lane.
He told officers the driver's head appeared to be looking down.
CHP says he swerved to avoid the car, but the two vehicles collided.
The woman, died at the scene. Her name has not been released.
