One lane of S. bound Hwy. 101 shut down as crews bring in crane to remove big rig

California Highway Patrol says the number two lane of the River Bridge on south bound Highway 101 in Santa Maria will be closed all morning.

A big rig caught on fire last night around 10 p.m.

One lane is still blocked and crews have to bring a crane in to get the truck off the highway.

Hutton Road will also be shut down when the crane moves in.

The driver made it out of the truck without injuries.

CHP says traffic will be slow during the entire morning commute.
