An early-morning chain reaction crash in San Miguel sends one car into a home and a driver to jail.
It happened near the intersection of Benedict and Bonita Street around 1:10 a.m. Saturday.
Luckily no one was in the home at the time. The California Highway Patrol says 27-year-old Ashley Beachkofski of San Miguel was driving in front of 27-year-old Barclay Barrett when she stopped suddenly. Barrett rear-ended her car, causing it to accelerate and then crash.
Officers say Barrett was arrested on suspicion of DUI after being treated for minor injuries. The incident is still under investigation.
