One man is behind bars after deputies discover a small steroid lab inside his Paso Robles home.
Narcotics detectives suited up and sealed off the home in the 300 block of Panorama Friday night.
Investigators believe the man inside was processing and manufacturing illegal steroids.
Deputies say the materials used in the lab are not as volatile as other drugs, like methamphetamines.
However they are still dangerous.
"There are some chemicals that are flammable that would be involved," said Commander Ron Hastie of the San Luis Obispo County Sheriff's Department. "Some relatively common chemicals like acetone, perhaps some denatured alcohol or something."
Investigators say there may be children living in the house.
The County Environmental Health Department will help decide if the residents can return home right away or if more cleanup is needed.
