One man arrested, one rushed to hospital following Santa Margarita shooting

The San Luis Obispo County Sheriff's Office has arrested a man they say shot a 21-year-old Saturday morning in Santa Margarita.

Officials say 43-year-old Steven Gregge of Santa Margarita was arrested at 8 a.m. Saturday morning. He was booked into San Luis Obispo County Jail on two charges, including attempted murder.

According to reports, 21-year-old Nickolas Gulley was shot in the face at a home in the 2200 block of Parkhill Road. Someone had driven him to the Cal Fire Station on Parkhill Road. He was then transported by ambulance to a local hospital and then flown to a hospital in the Bay area. Officials haven't released any information on his condition.

Sheriff's Deputies, CHP, State Fish and Game, and Atascadero Police Department worked together to locate a suspect. He was found at a home on Atascadero Avenue.

Officials say the shooting stemmed from a family disturbance, and they believe it is an isolated incident.
