One million dollar warrant issued for arrest of attempted murder suspect

A $1 million dollar arrest warrant has been issued for the arrest of Damaso Labra, 34, for attempted murder.

Police have been searching for Labra, who also goes by the last name Brigido, since July 31, when he attacked a man with a machete in Grover Beach.

KSBY spoke with the victim, who said Labra slashed him on the head, shoulder and arm. Labra's brother, who knows the victim, was also at the scene and tried to stop the attack. He was also injured.

Police say Labra should be considered dangerous. Anyone with information concerning the whereabouts of Labra can contact their local police department, or the Grover Beach Police Department at 473-4511.

Labra is described as a Hispanic male adult with black hair and brown eyes. He is 5'3 and 170 lbs. He is associated with a 1995 faded red Buick Grand Sport, 2 door car with tinted rear windows.
