Orcutt native Josh Prenot won his first Pac-12 title on Tuesday with a meet record time in the men's 400 individual medley on Tuesday at the Pac-12 Conference Championships in Washington.
The California freshman won with a time of 3:41.82, breaking the previous meet record of 3:42.01 set in 2005. Prenot just missed breaking the school record that he set earlier this season by .46 of a second.
The 19 year old finished third to medal in the 200 IM on Monday. He swims in the 200 breaststroke on Wednesday.
Cal Poly freshman and Atascadero High graduate Dustin Bolt finished 24th in the 400 IM event with a time of 4:04.33 in the C Final.
The Golden Bears, the two-time defending national champions, remain in first place after day three of the four day meet. Cal Poly remains in eight place.
