Ortman Family Wines is closing its doors

A local winery has fallen victim in this economy, and its owners say they are shutting the doors.
In a statement on the the winery's website, Ortman Family Wines says it will close its San Luis Obispo and Paso Robles locations December 23.
The Ortman family says it's unable to meet the demands of its lender, and the lender has chosen to call in the loan and liquidate assets. The Ortman family has been producing wine on the Central Coast for decades.
For those who are part of the wine club, your membership will be automatically terminated.
