It was the 29th Annual West Coast Piper Cub Fly-In at the Lompoc Airport Saturday.
Piper cubs are small airplanes made of metal tubing and cloth. Thousands were built back in the 1930's and 1940's, but only several hundred are still around.
Over 65 pipers are expected to fly this weekend at the free event.
An award ceremony was held at 7 p.m. Saturday.
