CAL FIRE and crews from the San Luis Obispo City Fire Department were called out to a vehicle fire at 12:30 a.m. Wednesday.

Crews responded just east of the San Luis Obispo Airport to a recreational vehicle that was engulfed in flames.

A middle-aged man died because of injuries sustained in the fire.

Crews said the vehicle appeared to be used as a residence.

The cause of the fire appears to be accidental but is currently under investigation.
