A large low pressure system is bringing even colder temperatures to the Central Coast, as Saturday night may be one of the coldest nights out of the last few days. It will be very chilly, especially overnight, and during the day the temperatures will remain below normal. Winds may pick up as well, with some areas seeing up to 15 mph.

There is a freeze warning in place for Saturday night, Sunday night, through Monday morning. The temperatures could dip as low as 24 to 28 degrees. There could be significant damage to outdoor plants, if it is left uncovered, and it's a reminder to keep pets indoors.

But, the warm weather could pick up by mid week. Most areas should be seeing a few degrees of warming come Tuesday, as the cold air starts to exit the area. The Central Coast could see highs jump to the lower 70s, but the overnight lows are expected to still remain quite cold.
