Owners reunited with dog after accident near Cuesta Grade

A dog reported missing after an SUV went down the side of a hill near the Cuesta Grade Thursday night has been reunited with its owners, according to California Highway Patrol officials.

The crash happened Thursday night when a trailer being towed by the SUV fish-tailed in the southbound lane of Highway 101, causing both the SUV and trailer to leave the highway and go down a hill before landing on their sides.

Two adults and a child were in the SUV. They were treated at the scene and released.

According to CHP, the owners were unable to locate the dog after the crash, but CHP says they have now been reunited.
