The Santa Maria Police Department Narcotics Suppression Team, with help from the Santa Barbara County Sheriff's Department, arrested an Oxnard man in connection with a drug operation in Santa Maria Thursday.

Officers say Miguel Ramirez Villasenor, 38, was selling and distributing large quantities of methamphetamine in Santa Maria for the past several months. When he was arrested, officers say they also seized 270 grams of meth with a street value of more than $27,000.

Officers say Villasenor was out on bail for similar charges when he was arrested in Santa Maria. He has been booked into Santa Barbara County Jail for charges of sales and distribution of methamphetamine.
