Pac 7 Girls Basketball: Dunlap helps Lady Knights stay unbeaten, PV and Paso also win

Tatiana Dunlap poured in a game-high 22 points and grabbed a tema-high 12 rebounds to lead the Lady Knights to a 67-32 home victory over defending league champion Arroyo Grande on Wednesday.

The St. Joseph High girls improved to 7-0 in league and 13-7 on the season. The Eagles fell to 1-6 in league and 8-12 overall.

The win may have come at a price for the Knights. Star junior guard Kaitlyn Flowers left the game early in the second quarter. She went down after drawing a foul on a drive to the basket and was helped off the court. She did not return to the game. The exact injury or its severity are unknown. She had 11 points before her injury.

Amani White tallied 14 points, 7 rebounds and 4 blocked shots for the Knights.

Sophomore Olivia Galindo and Alex Mero led the Eagles with 10 points each. The AG girls return to action Friday at last place Righetti.

The dynamic duo of Pioneer Valley led the Lady Panthers to a 50-44 win over San Luis Obispo and its dynamic duo in a key Pac 7 League game on Wednesday. The Panthers are now 6-1 in league and one game behind first place St. Joseph. They are 15-4 overall under head coach Brian Hook. The Tigers dropped to 4-3 in league and 10-10 on the year.

Senior point guard Ali Rodriguez led the Panthers with 18 points, while junior Shynia Tell poured in 17 points.

Jessie Judge and Erica Chandler kept the Tigers in the ball game and finished with 17 points apiece.

The Tigers return to action Friday at Atascadero, while the Panthers host Paso Robles.

The Paso Robles girls dominated visiting Righetti 46-29 on Wednesday. Molly Donovan led the Bearcats with 17 points, while Katie Ryan added 10 more. The Bearcats are now 3-4 in league and 10-10 overall. The Warriors dropped to 6-15 on the year and 0-7 in league action.
