It was a tough first round for the three Pac 7 League boys volleyball teams. All three, league champion Arroyo Grande, St. Joseph and San Luis Obispo were eliminated from the CIF playoffs with first round Division 2 losses.
Arroyo Grande suffered its only loss of the season falling in four games at home to fifth seeded Dos Pueblos. The Eagles won the first set, 25-19 before losing the next three, 19-25, 20-25, 22-25. Arroyo Grande finishes the season 14-1. Cameron Arnet led the Eagles with 16 kills, while Logan Honeycutt added 13. Jack Empey was credited with 45 assists.
San Luis Obispo lost at 3rd seeded Santa Barbara 25-9, 25-19 and 25-13. Briant Packard, Shea McSorley and Trey Davis had 3 kills apiece to lead the Tigers, who ended the season 8-6.
St. Joseph lost 3-0 at South Torrance. The Knights lost 25-14, 25-15 and 25-18. St. Joseph finished the season 10-5 overall.
