(KPNX) An Arizona football fan is speaking out after he and his teenage son were kicked out of a Cardinals preseason game and cited for trespassing after he asked the boy to hold a cup of beer so he could snap a photo.
John Coulter says he was approached by two undercover Arizona Department of Liquor License and Control agents after his son held the beer for just a few moments while he snapped a photo of the field.
Officials say Coulter could have faced an even more severe punishment.
"Providing alcohol to an underage person or an underage person in possession of alcohol is a Class 1 misdemeanor." said Sgt. Wesley Kuhl of the Arizona Department of Liquor License and Control. "The consequences could be up to, and this is a maximum, of two years in jail, $2,500 fine and three years probation."
