The father of the teen stabbed Monday in a bathroom at Lompoc High School says his son is being moved out of intensive care today at Lompoc Valley Medical Center.

Brandon Moorman, 17, underwent sugery Tuesday afternoon. Three juveniles have been charged with assault with a deadly weapon and gang enhancements for their involvement in the incident.

The stabbing has many parents questioning safety in both the city and at the school, but school officials stress it is a safe place and this was an isolated incident.

Hear from the teen's father tonight on KSBY News at 5 and 6.
