The Central Coast will be seeing variations of weather on the first day of 2013, including chilly temperatures in the morning. A freeze warning is in effect until 9am Tuesday morning in Santa Ynez Valley with temps falling between 25 and 29-degrees. There is also a frost advisory in effect until 9am Tuesday morning for San Luis Obispo County. A frost advisory means there can be damage to sensitive plants if left uncovered. A low pressure system will bring a few clouds into the day, and there is a slight chance of showers mainly north of Point Conception.
Gusty offshore winds are expected to pick up along the Central Coast on Tuesday into Wednesday, which will bring near or slightly above normal temperatures into the weekend.
For those who don't care for the cold weather, just hold out until Thursday night. It is expected to not be as cold on that night.
