A man wanted in connection with a shooting in San Miguel was taken into custody by the Department of Homeland Security on Monday at the San Ysidro border crossing.
According to the San Luis Obispo County Sheriff's Department, deputies were on the lookout for Jose Manual Alcaraz, 24, from Paso Robles. Deputies believe Alzaraz is responsible for shooting and wounding a person in the business district of San Miguel on March 20.
Alcaraz is being transported back to San Luis Obispo County to face charges.
