Paso Robles police add a K-9 to the force

The Paso Robles Police Department has a new dog. K-9 Ar Mex started working for the department last week after completing a 160 hour course with his handler, Officer Lance O'Brien. Ar Mex is an 18 month-old German shepherd imported from the Czech Republic. Police say the dog is trained in patrol operations and will be cross trained in narcotics detection. Ar Mex is the second canine on the police force. The city partnered with the Friends of the K-9 organization to fund the purchase and training of Ar Mex.
