Paso Robles Police are asking the public for help investigating two incidents that happened over the weekend.
At about 11:30 p.m. Friday, officials received reports that several Hispanic males were fighting in the street along the 1100 block of Pine Street.
Witnesses say they saw one man chasing another, possibly holding a knife. They say all the people involved in the fight ran away before officers got to the scene, and police weren't able to find any of them. Witnesses did report that one of the men may have been stabbed during the fight. They described two cars seen in the area: a gold Chevrolet pickup truck with a bed cover and tinted windows and a silver Pontiac Grand Am with a dent near the rear of the car.
Paso Police say they haven't been contacted by any stab victims in that incident.
Early Sunday morning, officers were called to a local hospital to speak with a 16-year-old stabbing victim. He had non-life threatening stab wounds to his wrist, arm, and back. He told officers he was assaulted by two or three Hispanic males while standing in front of his house in the 3100 block of Pine Street. He told officers he didn't know the people who stabbed him and probably wouldn't be able to identify them. He believed they were driving a "boxy, four door, dark brown Honda or Acura."
Officials don't know if the two incidents are connected, and they're investigating to find out if they are gang related.
