Paso Robles Police form new team to combat drugs, gangs

The Paso Robles Police Department announced Tuesday the formation of a Special Enforcement Team to combat illegal drugs and gang activity in the city.

The SET is made up of two full-time police officers, Sgt. Tod Rehner and Det. Tony Ruiz, who are assigned to the police department's Investigations Bureau.

The City of Paso Robles will continue to partner with the San Luis Obispo County Drug and Gang Task Force and the SET will act as a liaison between the two.
