The Paso Robles Public School District is offering an electronic waste drop-off service Saturday. Locals can safely drop off their old computers, television sets, monitors, and other unusable or unwanted electronic items. The drop-off will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. At 2900 Union Road in Paso Robles.

All proceeds will go towards the district's Technology Equipment Replacement Fund. This will help the district replace old and broken equipment in its classrooms.

Throwing an old television or computer monitor in the trash is illegal in California. Electronic items have toxic chemicals like lead and mercury that can be harmful to the environment if they aren't thrown away properly.
