Paso Robles teen arrested after allegedly trying to get away from police

A Paso Robles teen is behind bars after police say he led them on a chase in the city Thursday night.

Paso Robles Police say around 5:50 p.m., they tried to stop Rafael Anguiano-Aguilar, 19, in the 3000 block of Spring Street after officers recognized him. Police say he had three misdemeanor arrest warrants.

Anguiano-Aguilar tried to drive away in his truck, reaching speeds of around 50 mph, according to police.

When he stopped near 30th and Oak streets, police say he ran away but a police canine found him hiding at a friend's house nearby.

Anguiano-Aguilar was booked into the San Luis Obispo County Jail for his arrest warrants and attempting to evade a police officer.
