The Paso Robles woman accused of murdering her mother in late April will be sent to a state hospital for a mental evaluation after the court declared doubt as to her mental competency.
On Tuesday, a judge ordered Sunni Jackson be sent to Patton State Hospital for treatment. She will have a status hearing in early August to determine what happens next.
Jackson is charged with the murder of her mother, Earlene Grove. A preliminary autopsy report showed Grove was stabbed several times.
Jackson was set to be arraigned on the murder charge in April, but the San Luis Obispo County Sheriff Department says she became so disruptive in the court holding cell, officers had to put her back in restraints.
