Patient airlifted after accident in Santa Barbara County

One person suffers major injuries, after the car they were riding in, fell over the side of an embankment in Santa Barbara County.
Fire officials say the accident happened on Gibraltar Road just south of East Camino Cielo Thursday evening.
They say the car fell down about 50 feet.
They say the patient was airlifted to a local high school, and then taken to Cottage Hospital.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
